Shop Records Methodology
How ShieldID sources, matches, approves, and corrects business records. No records are published during the testing phase.
Qualifying Official Sources
Each Shop Record must be backed by qualifying official sources. These include government filings, court records, regulatory actions, and other verifiable official documents. Anonymous tips, social media posts, and unsupported claims do not qualify as sources. Every source link will be directly accessible from the published record.
Exact Entity and Location Matching
Records will match an exact legal entity name and physical location. Similarly named businesses at different addresses will not be conflated. A record for "ABC Auto, 123 Main St, Anytown, TX" is distinct from "ABC Auto, 456 Oak Ave, Othertown, TX." ShieldID will not publish a record against the wrong entity.
Precise Procedural Status
Each record will display precise procedural status—not vague labels. If a matter is open, pending, resolved, dismissed, or closed, the record will say so with the source document. ShieldID will not publish a status that the source does not support.
Two-Person Human Approval
Every record requires two-person human approval before publication. No record is published automatically. No AI system approves records. The two-person review checks source identity, entity match, location match, procedural status accuracy, and disclosure language before a record goes live.
Corrections and Later Outcomes
If a published record is materially inaccurate or a later outcome changes the record, ShieldID will correct or update it. Corrections will be visible on the record and in the transparency log. A correction does not erase the original publication; it documents what changed and when.
Membership Separation
ShieldID membership status is separate from the source-backed records shown here. Vetted does not mean certified and does not guarantee every job or warranty. A Basic Member, a Vetted Member, and a non-member may all have records—or none. Membership does not control what appears in Shop Records, and Shop Records do not control membership status.
Testing Limits
During the testing phase, no records are published. No fictional fixtures, research leads, draft allegations, private evidence, incomplete entries, or AI answers are public. The search interface is disabled. No form submissions are accepted. The admin ledger is not connected or exposed.
AI Remains Off
No AI-generated summaries, answers, verdicts, or interpretations will be published as part of Shop Records. AI tools may assist with internal research, but every published record is sourced, matched, and approved by humans.
Testing notice: This page describes the planned methodology. No records have been published. The methodology may be refined before records go live.
